Fire Alarm Systems are available in many varieties and types. Essentially each of them have components and circuits arranged to monitor the status of initiating devices (e.g. smoke detectors, pull stations, sprinkler water flow switches) and notify occupants and the fire service of an impending fire.

These systems range from simple single building systems to an entire campus of buildings networked and connected to a supervising station.​
