Special Hazard Fire Protection includes protection of unique hazards using specialized fire protection systems. These hazards require specialized knowledge of the threat and systems to suppress or control a fire. Examples of special hazard protection include the following:

Aircraft Hangar - Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) systems and High Expansion Foam systems.​
