FireLogix Engineering was selected by Preview Group to provide fire and smoke modeling analysis for a large manufacturing facility in Northern Kentucky.
As part of this work, the firm will employ fire modeling and egress modeling to study the relative safety of the facility. The facility currently has egress travel distances which exceed the code maximum. As part of the study, FireLogix will evaluate the use of the facility and prepare a series of fire models to evaluate how smoke, heat, and combustion by-products spread throughout the facility. Egress models will be employed to determine the amount of time it takes occupants of the facility to egress. The fire model and egress model will be compared to ensure that the environment remains safe and tenable during the time occupants remain in the facility.
